Gas Scrubbers

Our gas scrubbers are designed for separation of liquids from gases in natural gas stream and are insensitive to orientation. The are ideal for pipelines and processing facility applications for gas dominant separation of streams containing 3 barrels of liquid per million standard cubic feet of gas or less. They are also effective at removing residual glycol from a gas stream downstream of a contactor.

The working principle is based on centrifugal separation where the gas enters the separator at one end and exit at the other end. During the transit it passes through a fixed vane assembly to generate a vortex flow. The resulting centrifugal force forces the liquid droplets to separate at the wall of the vortex tube, then they are swept by the flowing gas and drawn through a small opening to settle in a sump.
